RealPlayer SP is designed to be Social and Portable. Most notably, it includes a new RealPlayer Converter that allows you to:
- Convert most audio and video file formats for playback on iPod, BlackBerry, XBox 360, and other devices (note: some devices require RealPlayer Plus for conversion)
- Transfer files to devices that support USB mass storage mode
- Transfer files to iTunes
- Convert video files to output audio only
- Change the quality level of your audio and video clips
Other improvements in RealPlayer SP include:
- 120-minute DVD burns (previous limit was 80 minutes; DVD burning remains a premium feature of RealPlayer Plus)
- Buttons in Library and Downloader for instant sharing on Facebook and Twitter

- Command overlay on video thumbnails makes it easier to play, share, or copy clips
